"The benefits of using Bahamian currency in my classroom helps students to recognize, carefully count, and intentionally understand their heritage and pride of our national currency. Teaching our students important facts  that the Bahamian Dollar is 1:1 and interchangeable with the United States Dollar; and that The Bahamian Dollar makes The Bahamas one of the richest Caribbean islands in the world based on our GDP. Financial literacy is one of the most essential lessons a child can learn that would be needed throughout their entire lives.”

The Math Counting Money (grade 2) has helped my grandbaby with money recognition and learning the value of coins and dollars. Tons of practice questions to reinforce how to count coins and how many of which coin makes a $1. The questions and lesson are easy to understand, especially the ones that deal with addition and subtraction of money. This book is a great value add.

This book is a wonderful resource workbook. Its font size and style are student friendly, and grade level appropriate. The pictures are bright with vibrant colors (They are actual photos). The content is current, and has many aspects of the Bahamian and Caribbean Culture woven throughout. (Integrates with Social Studies curriculum). Therefore it introduces and reinforces many content taught in Social Studies
resulting in our children being able to relate and identify with it. Also, with every topic, there is a clear
explanation along with appropriate examples. I am glad I purchased this book and I would not hesitate
to recommend it.
